  • What time does Wonders of Wildlife open?

    Wonders of Wildlife is open 10:00 am – 8:00 pm, 7 days a week, 364 days a year (closed Christmas day).*

  • What is the best time to visit Wonders of Wildlife?

    We recommend visiting during the late fall and winter months, excluding holidays. If visiting us in the spring or summer months, we recommend visiting Monday - Thursday as our peak days are Friday – Sunday.

  • How long does it take to see Wonders of Wildlife?

    Wonders of Wildlife contains more than 1.5 miles of immersive exhibits and experiences. While we recommend a good pair of shoes and allowing between 2 – 5 hours for the experience, when combined with other nearby amenities, visitors could easily spend a full day on the campus.

  • What age is recommended for Wonders of Wildlife?

    Wonders of Wildlife offers something for everyone and is designed to appeal to families with young children as well as adults of all ages. Kids will enjoy participating in fun interactive experiences, while adults will enjoy an engaging discovery of some of the rarely shared history of conservation in America, told through handcrafted exhibits, artifacts and fascinating displays.

  • How can I purchase tickets?

    What are your ticket options & polices?

    General admission tickets for single-day visits are available with options to visit the Aquarium Adventure, Wildlife Galleries, a ticket to the full Wonders of Wildlife experience or also include our Dogwood Canyon experience as well. When purchasing tickets online, be sure to select your entry time. Tickets can be purchased onsite or at

    Wonders of Wildlife offers a 10% discount for Military (active, veteran status and dependents) and Seniors (65+). Discounts cannot be combined and a photo ID will be required. Forms of ID would include – driver’s license with veteran designation active duty or veteran ID card, or copy of DD-214.

    Do you offer a discount if I want to upgrade my aquarium only ticket to an individual combo ticket?

    Upgrades must be completed in person, the same day you visit Wonders of Wildlife. The ticket price you paid will be applied towards your upgrade. Please note that upgrades must be completed in person before you leave for the day.

    Are combo tickets single-day use?

    Combo tickets purchased at Wonders of Wildlife are intended for single-day use, but you are free to leave at any point and return later in the day. On average, most visitors who purchase a combo ticket spend between three to five hours at Wonders of Wildlife.

    How do I receive my ticket?

    If you are purchasing your tickets online, select E-Delivery or will call pick-up. E-Delivery will send tickets directly to your email. Will call pick-up is located at the Aquarium ticket desk at 500 W Sunshine Springfield, MO 65803.

    How long does it take to receive my E-ticket?

    E-tickets are sent instantly to your email address once your order has been placed.

    What email address will my E-ticket come from? What if I do not receive the E-ticket?

    The email confirmation will come from Johnny Morris Wonders of Wildlife Museum & Aquarium. To prevent the E-Ticket from going to your junk or spam folder please make sure to add to your contacts. If you have a Gmail address please make sure to check your promotions folder.

    Can I show my E-Ticket on my phone?

    Yes, E-Tickets can be shown for entry directly from your phone.

    What methods of payment are acceptable?

    All major credit cards are accepted online. All major credit cards and cash are accepted at Wonders of Wildlife. Tickets may be purchased at the Wonders of Wildlife ticket counter, online at or by calling 1-888-222-6060.

  • Why do you have timed entry?

    Much like a dinner reservation, timed entry secures your arrival time and guarantees your entry during the selected hour. Once inside, you are welcome to stay as long as you like.

  • Where should I park?

    Parking is free across the Wonders of Wildlife and Bass Pro Shops campus. Disabled parking spots are available in front of the primary entrance at 1935 S Campbell as well as outside the Aquarium’s Great Oceans Hall at 500 W Sunshine. Both entries also offer space for pick-up and drop-off access. Overflow parking is available at the Cherokee Street entrance to Outdoor World located on the south side of the building. All three parking lots offer free parking, in addition to disabled parking and space for pick-up and drop-off access.

    If you plan to visit the Aquarium only please park outside the Aquarium’s entrance at 500 W. Sunshine Street Springfield, MO 65807.

    If you purchased a combo ticket or if you are visiting the Wildlife Galleries only, please park at 1935 S. Campbell Avenue Springfield, MO 65807 and enter through the main entrance of Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World.

  • Is Wonders of Wildlife accessible for wheelcharis, strollers and wagons?

    Wonders of Wildlife is wheelchair accessible and stroller friendly with elevators available throughout. Wagons or wagon style strollers are not permitted in the museum due to narrow walkways. Ample seating is available in various areas of the Wildlife Galleries and the Aquarium Adventure. Lawn and camping chairs are not permitted.

    Scooters are available to rent for a four hour period for an additional fee of $20. Strollers are also available to rent for $7. Manual wheelchairs are available free of charge. All rentals are available on a first come, first served basis.

  • What are the benefits of becoming a member?

    Membership passes are valid for one year from date of purchase and provide priority admission access for unlimited visits to both the Wildlife Galleries and the Aquarium Adventure. Members also receive:

    • 10 percent discount on food and beverage purchases (excludes alcoholic beverages)
    • 10 percent discount on merchandise purchases
    • 10 percent discount on scooter and stroller rentals
    • An exclusive member newsletter
    • Invitations to member only events and programs

  • Are photos and videos allowed inside the museum?

    Wonders of Wildlife is a flash free photography facility. Guests are encouraged to take as many photos as they would like, and video is allowed of all shows and experiences.

    Guests may also wish to have their photo taken by our professional team, Magic Memories. Photos from Magic Memories will be available for purchase in print and digital format at the gift shop exit.

  • What food options are available?

    Fish Tales Café, a quick grab and go food service is located in the Great Ocean’s Hall. Fish Tales Café offers soups, sandwiches, salads, pizza, a kid’s menu and gluten free options.* Guests may also purchase snacks and refreshments at a snack bar located in the upper Shipwreck area.

    *Gluten free items are prepared in a kitchen with items containing gluten.

  • Can I bring in my own food and drinks?

    Due to limited space and seating in our café for guests, we ask that individuals do not bring in food. This includes snacks and meals from other restaurants. You may leave the museum for lunch or dinner then return at a later time the same day to finish your tour. Coolers and alcohol are not permitted at Wonders of Wildlife.

  • Are there accommodations for nursing mothers?

    We are pleased to offer a mother’s nursing room which is available in our Great Oceans Hall, near the Hemmingway boat, toward the gift shop exit. Look for our mother’s room signage or ask any guest services associate for assistance in locating the room. Changing tables are provided in every restroom.

  • Can I leave the museum and come back during the same day?

    You are welcome to leave and come back during the day. Re-entry will require proof of purchase (i.e. ticket stub and/or receipt).

  • Are lockers available for rent?

    We do not have lockers available at this time. Seasonal coat check is available near our Fish Tales Café for a small fee.

  • Is Wi-Fi available throughout the museum?

    We are happy to offer free guest Wi-Fi under the WOWPublic user domain.

  • Do you allow pets and/or service animals?

    Service Animals

    Service Animals are welcome at Wonders of Wildlife. Wonders of Wildlife follows Title I and II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which defines Service Animals as dogs or miniature horses that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Examples include:

    • Guide Dog or Seeing Eye® Dog
    • Hearing or Signal Dog
    • Psychiatric Service Dog
    • SSigDOG
    • Seizure Response Dog

    Service Animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the Service Animal’s work or the individual’s disability prevents using these devices. In that case, the individual must maintain control of the Service Animal through voice, signal or other effective controls. Service Animal Relief areas are located outdoors, on any of the grassy areas surrounding Wonders of Wildlife.

    Emotional Support and Comfort Animals

    Wonders of Wildlife is home to more than 35,000 live animals, some of which may have a negative reaction to the presence of unfamiliar animals. For the health and safety of your animal and ours, emotional support/comfort/therapy animals and pets are not permitted within Wonders of Wildlife.

  • Can I purchase a Wonders of Wildlife gift card?

    Wonders of Wildlife gift cards are available for purchase onsite or online by clicking here. You may also purchase tickets or memberships for gifts at the Wonders of Wildlife ticket counters during operating hours or by sending us an email to If you don’t know when the gift recipients will be attending the ticketing agent can provide tickets with an expiration date of Dec. 31st, 2019, allowing them to visit whenever they would like throughout the year.

  • Why doesn’t Wonders of Wildlife accept Bass Pro gift cards and rewards points?

    While closely affiliated with Bass Pro Shops, Wonders of Wildlife is a standalone non-profit entity. This prohibits the use of Bass Pro gift cards and rewards points.

  • What are your group rates?

    Non-academic group pricing for parties of 10 or more is available by contacting In order to receive group pricing, reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance.

  • Do you offer field trips?

  • Lost and found

    If you have lost an item, please contact or call 417-225-1163. Items are held for 30 days and then donated to a local thrift store.
