About Wonders of Wildlife

Wonders of Wildlife is a public not-for-profit 501(c)(3) foundation, committed to inspiring the next generation of outdoor stewards. Established by noted conservationist and Bass Pro Shops founder Johnny Morris, Wonders of Wildlife features a 1.5-million-gallon Aquarium Adventure showcasing 35,000 live fish, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and birds, and immersive Wildlife Galleries that bring visitors eye-to-eye with the greatest collection of record-setting game animals ever assembled. Johnny’s vision establishing this significant not-for-profit conservation-based attraction and education center has the opportunity – like no other attraction before it – to have a positive national impact on fish and wildlife conservation.

Connecting Everyone With The Outdoors

Wonders of Wildlife honors the adventurers, explorers, outdoorsmen and conservationists who helped discover, develop and preserve the nation we love. Beyond its sheer scale and quality, what’s most impressive about the museum and aquarium is its powerful message to inspire everyone to connect with the outdoors. In a world increasingly disconnected from the great outdoors, it’s more important than ever for people of all ages to connect with nature through fishing, hunting and outdoor recreation to ensure we can protect wildlife for generations to come. Wonders of Wildlife shares this passion with visitors through an authentic, educational and fun celebration of wildlife conservation.

Educational Impact

Wonders of Wildlife is dedicated to serving as a national model for conservation education.

Wonders of Wildlife is an extension of Johnny Morris’ expansive commitment to inspiring the next generation of outdoor stewards. Current initiatives include the Wonders of the Ozarks Learning Facility (WOLF) School, a comprehensive outdoor learning school operated in partnership with Springfield Public Schools, Missouri Department of Conservation and Bass Pro Shops; and the traveling Wonders of Wildlife (WOW) School, which teaches children and families how to enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities while practicing personal safety and outdoor stewardship.
